A new semi-realistic drama brings India’s lunar journey to screens. Space Gen: Chandrayaan is now streaming on JioHotstar. The series traces ISRO’s path from setback to success through the eyes of its scientists.

The story highlights long nights, tight budgets, and political pressure. It also shows how the team processed the failure of Chandrayaan-2. Then, it follows their push toward the success of Chandrayaan-3.

When and Where to Watch

The show premiered on January 23, 2026. Viewers can stream it exclusively on JioHotstar.

Trailer and Plot

The narrative centers on four key characters. Each represents a different side of the mission.

Arjun Verma, played by Nakuul Mehta, is a young scientist haunted by personal loss. He speaks bluntly and challenges workplace norms. Meanwhile, Yamini Mudaliar, played by Shriya Saran, leads as project director with calm focus and discipline.

Sudarshan Ramaiah, played by Prakash Belawadi, steps in as ISRO chief. He carries the burden of institutional doubt after Chandrayaan-2. At the same time, Mohanty, played by Gopal Datt, manages budgets, public image, and hard decisions.

Together, they navigate technical hurdles and bureaucratic tension. As pressure builds, the team must align around a single goal. Therefore, Chandrayaan-3 becomes both a scientific and emotional mission.
