Suriya and Radhika Sarathkumar share a long-standing close bond. The two actors will now reunite on screen. They will appear together in Venky Atluri’s upcoming film Vishwanath & Sons.
At a promotional event in Coimbatore, Suriya spoke about their relationship. He referred to Radhika as his ‘akka’. He revealed that she once offered crucial financial support to his family.
Years earlier, Karthi planned to pursue higher education in the United States. The family needed to show a required bank balance for visa formalities. However, they faced financial constraints at that time. Radhika, who was then working with Suriya’s father Sivakumar, stepped in. She provided the necessary money. She asked the family to keep it in their account until Karthi secured college admission.
Furthermore, Suriya shared another gesture of support. Radhika acted in some of his films without accepting any remuneration. He noted that she did not need to do so. Yet she chose to help.
The two actors have worked together in Sandhippoma (1998), Uyirile Kalanthathu (2000) and Singam 3 (2017). Meanwhile, Karthi collaborated with her in Saguni (2012).
